💫 I’m running the London Marathon 2026 for my mum - and for Spinal Research
Follow my journey as I train for the London Marathon in 2026 and help me raise money - and awareness - for Spinal Research.
This cause is very personal to me. When my mum was 28, a freak paragliding accident left her with a severe spinal cord injury. She’s been paralysed from the neck down and in a wheelchair ever since, living every day with the lasting effects - something she will never fully recover from.
Growing up with a parent who lives with paralysis changes your perspective on everything. You see how much strength it takes to do even the simplest things - and how easy it is for most of us to take them for granted. There are difficult moments, of course, but mostly I’ve seen incredible resilience, positivity and determination.
Mum has shown me what real strength - and, yes, stubbornness! - looks like. If I can channel even a fraction of that on marathon day, there’s a chance I might just make it round!
Spinal Research is the UK’s only charity dedicated to finding ways to repair the spinal cord - but they receive no government funding. Every breakthrough, every bit of progress, depends entirely on donations.
By supporting my marathon run, you’ll be helping to fund vital research that could transform lives - turning hope into possibility for people living with paralysis.
Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference.
Thank you so much for your support 💙
