Molly's fundraiser for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

Molly Barton is raising money for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

Team: BB TEAM LEJOG 26

Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives. we can’t fly without you!

Story

On 6th September 2026 I will be part of a team of 17 ladies, all members of Beat Bike, a St Albans based cycling club, setting off to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats - approximately 1000 miles. We aim to take 14 days, averaging 71 miles a day, and arriving in John O’Groats on 19th September.

The BB Lejog team would like to use this opportunity to fundraise for the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance. As cyclists we are only too aware accidents can happen and members of Beat Bike all know someone who the Air Ambulance has helped, but its not only cyclists, anyone may need the help of the Air Ambulance and that includes you.

It costs about £2800 per mission for the helicopter to fly, and fuel is an additional £280 per hour flying on top of that. Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, they rely upon the generosity and goodwill of people like you who make donations and fundraise in order to keep emergency helicopters flying.

Please sponsor our ride and help all who need their life saving help.

Thank you for your support.
