Story

As most of you know I suddenly lost my Dad 4 years ago today, possibly the most challenging years yet learning to live without him.

I’ve wanted to do something in honour of my Dad, so I’m going to be doing a charity skydive on 22nd August to raise money for Mind in Furness while also raising awareness for DID.

Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is a mental health condition often linked to trauma. It involves a person having two or more distinct identity states and can affect memory, sense of self and everyday life. DID is widely misunderstood, and greater awareness helps ensure people receive understanding and appropriate support.

As mental health wasn’t what Dad passed with but something he struggled with day to day and affected his life for a lot of years, this cause means a lot to me.

My Dad would definitely be saying I’m mad for jumping out of a plane but if i can help at least one person going through a struggle then it’s worth it🤍

Thank you so much for any donation, big or small.
