Molly's fundraiser for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation

Molly Morris is raising money for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation

Team: Line Up 2024

We are My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and we're absolutely committed to our goal: A World Free of MND. We will leave no stone unturned in the relentless pursuit of this goal as we fund, guide and enable the smartest, most efficient MND research to catalyse a cure for motor neuron disease.

Story

This year I am a model for the Line Up Fashion Show at Durham University to raise money for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation!

Doddie Weir OBE was one of rugby’s most recognisable personalities. In 2017 he revealed he was suffering from Motor Neuron Disease. From the outset, Doddie was driven to help fellow sufferers and seek ways to further research into this, as yet, incurable disease.

The Foundation is committed to helping improve the lives of those affected by Motor Neuron Disease. They help to fund grants, giving considerable sums to our friends at MND Association and MND Scotland to administer to individuals and families living with MND, initiate and encourage research to better understand the information and support needs of MND patients and their families. They engage with patients through the provision of information about latest developments and the opportunity to shape research priorities clinical trials and rapidly translating results into clinical practice.

To fundraise i will be attempting a marathon (with no training 🫣🫣🫣) running between Selkirk Rugby Club and Melrose Rugby Club (Doddie’s home Club). Having known Doddie and his family for a number of years this is a cause especially close to my heart, and so any donations to this would be really appreciated!! Thankyou 💙💛
