CHUF has a very special place in my heart. When my brother, Jake, was born he had a heart condition and had to go through multiple surgeries and miraculously, wonderful doctors, nurses and surgeons got him through multiple open heart surgeries and helped him get to the strong 23 year old he is today. I couldn’t be prouder of what Jake has came through since being little & my family could not have gotten through it without the help of CHUF.

I am running the Great North Run 2025 to raise money for this wonderful cause that has done so much for my family and many others across the North East.

Chuf's mission is to make life better for children and young people who are born with or who develop heart conditions by providing lifelong support to them and their families. Chuf supports children and families who receive treatment at the Children’s Heart Unit based at the Freeman Hospital and the many other hospitals providing care for cardiac patients throughout the North of England.
