As part of celebrating Lily’s upcoming 2nd birthday in October, we’re raising money for AngelmanUK, the charity supporting families living with Angelman Syndrome — a condition caused by a change on chromosome 15.

To honour Lily’s birthday and her journey, our suggested donation tiers are symbolic:

£2.15 — Lily is turning 2, and Angelman Syndrome affects chromosome 15

£21.50 — another option carrying the same meaning

£215 — for anyone who would like to / is able to make a bigger impact

This is also why are our overall target is £2150.

And as part of our celebrations, our wonderful friend Sam will be running the Great North Run in Lily’s honour, helping us raise even more awareness and support for AngelmanUK.

This past year, between Lily turning 1 and 2, was the year we received her diagnosis. It was a year of learning, adjusting, and finding our way — and AngelmanUK became one of the places we turned to for support.

AngelmanUK provides:

Family support and guidance for newly diagnosed children

Specialist information for parents, carers, and professionals

Community events that help families feel less alone

Funding for research into treatments and improved quality of life

Advocacy to raise awareness and understanding of Angelman Syndrome
