During my uncles life long battle with Muscular Dystrophy, one of the places he enjoyed spending time was with the “living well team” at Arthur Rank hospice. He enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere with caring staff, creative activities and being around like minded people, combined meant it was a lovely break for him. When his health declined and he knew his time with us was coming to an end, he wanted to return to Arthur Rank for end of life care. Luckily we successfully secured one of their limited bed spaces for albeit a short period, where he peacefully past away with family by his side. The care, services and support they provide makes such a difference at what is a very sad time. However, this facility is a charity which means they need our help and financial support today, to ensure other loved ones can receive the special care the Author Rank team deliver tomorrow.
