Story
While serving in the British Army, I suffered life-changing injuries to my spine. This ended my military career and completely upended my life. I fell into a destructive spiral as I struggled to manage the chronic pain and worsening mental health. Eventually I couldn’t take anymore, became suicidal and was admitted to hospital.
Supporting Wounded Veterans have been with me every step of the way throughout my recovery, and continue to provide unparalleled support to veterans nationwide through their innovative and highly effective Pain Management, Sports Rehabilitation, Employment and Mentoring schemes.
Supporting Wounded Veterans helped save my life, and now I want to give them the opportunity to serve other veterans who desperately need their help.
In March 2025 I’ll be attempting the Mongol 100 Ultra Marathon, covering 100 miles along the length of frozen Lake Khovsghol in Outer Mongolia.
This will be arguably the most difficult thing I have ever done. I will be doing this alone, in -40°C fighting exhaustion, the hostile environment and the constant pain from the injuries that changed my life. To add to the challenge, the race demands an unplanned combination of running and Nordic ice skating, which is a skill I have to learn from scratch as part of my preparation.
If you could, please get behind enabling me to send the ladder back down, every donation will help Supporting Wounded Veterans give life-changing support to other veterans like me. Thank you!
