Story
Approximately 10 years ago my Dad was diagnosed with Dementia - Watching my dad live with such a cruel disease has been one of the hardest things our family has ever faced.
Dementia is a cruel illness - one that affects not just the person diagnosed, but every member of their family.
This year we are taking part in the Belfast Marathon as part of a team to raise money for Dementia NI, a cause which is so close to our hearts.
My team includes family members; Glenn, Anna, Abby & Ellie.
My Dad is now living in a nursing home and everyday we see the impact dementia has - not only him but on all of us who love him as well as on so many other families who are on the same journey.
Dementia NI provides vital support, understanding and hope to people living with dementia and to their families. Their work truly makes a difference to so many people.
Any donation, no matter how small would be deeply appreciated and will go directly towards supporting the incredible work of Dementia NI.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read, donate or share this page.
Your kindness and support mean more than words can say!
