Story
Hello Lovely People
Another Year...another marathon. But things are getting interesting...
I've signed up for the Chicago Marathon this year. I know what you’re thinking...another marathon? really? sort your life out man. I've done 3 marathons now so doing another marathon is not a big deal in theory. However I do love to punish myself and push myself to the absolute limit.
I did London Marathon in 6hr 15m (I lost my father during training and it broke me tbh). I did New York in 6h5m (I suffered an ankle fracture during training but managed to still complete the marathon). Last year I signed up for Valencia and aimed for a sub 6hr marathon. Unfortunately Valencia had other ideas and set the cut off time to 5hr 30. I had to train doubly hard and managed to finish in 5hr23m - lots and lots of tears followed!
But I know I can do better, and so have set myself a target of SUB 5 HOURS for Chicago...and I'm genuinely stressed about it. Obviously I will try my absolute best but figured what better way to motivate myself than raise money for a super worthy cause.
