Story
Hey my name is Richard (Minty)
I lost my mum at the on the 3rd of February after a long battle with cancer aged 60, my mum went into the hospice for a few days to help get her pain under control but sadly passed away on day 4
Since my mum was under palliative care the team from Salisbury Hospice did an absolutely fantastic job with helping mum as much as they could over the past 6+ months, mum wanted to stay home as long as possible, with the hospice helping with things at home to help with mobility and comfort
Mum made the decision to stay in the hospice as she had become so ill and we knew it was near the end, the care that was given to mum when she needed it most was absolutely amazing and the support offered to our family showed a truly caring environment.
I’m taking on an epic challenge on Banana Betty my 2019 Honda monkey 125 to raise funds for The Salisbury Hospice Charity as a thank you for all the hard work by the staff and volunteers
I will be riding solo from Salisbury to Scotland then down through Wales and on down to the Isle of Wight covering 1500+ miles on a tiny monkey bike avoiding motorways and hopefully all within 6 days,
