The Monkeyball Rally, The UK's Cheapest Banger Rally is back!
Our aim is to buy a cheap car for around 500 quid and modify it to stand out for a road rally around the UK, we even sleep in our cars which is why we stand by the claim that we are the UK's Cheapest banger rally, it's a bit like camping for petrolheads and as long as you have a driving license you can join in the fun!
We are entirely self funded, Fuel, Insurance, MOT and Road tax comes from our own pockets.
For the 2024 rally we will be repeating the route we completed around the northern coastline for our first rally in 2016 but this time we've given ourselves only 6 days to complete the challenge and unlike 2016 this time we shall be travelling anticlockwise so we're going 'The Wrong Way Round'
On the 19th May 2024 we will start from our respective homes in Somerset and the East Midlands and set off to the Starting point in Skegness where we will pick up the coastal road and then follow that all the way up and around Scotland and into Wales where over 2500 miles later will reach the finish line at Aberystwyth, Ambitious and optimistic but we're gonna give it our best!
Our chosen Charity for our next epic adventure is Sir Jackie Stewart's Race Against Dementia. Several of us have felt the struggle of losing friends and family members to Dementia and we're sure you have too so we want to help Sir Jackie bring the Technological advances from the world of Formula One Motor Racing to the fight against this heartbreaking condition.
