Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On Saturday 27th May, runners from Monkstown Spartans AC will take on a 24 hour running challenge in aid of the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. Our aim is to run 5k every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours. Thanks to the support from Ulster University Sports Village we shall be using their facilities at the Jordanstown campus and running loops around the site from noon on Saturday 27th May until noon on Sunday 28th.
We currently have 12 members committed to running all 24 hours which will equate to 120km (75 miles) each!! Others from the club have their own personal goals and will be joining us for some of the runs while we will also have volunteers helping out with marshalling and other duties, eg. picking up McDonald’s in the middle of the night.
