Monmouth's fundraiser for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity

Monmouth Town Council is a proud Sands Champion for this year's Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th - 15th October).
In addition to a Ribbon Display, Ribbon Run and Wave of Light, Monmouth Town Council is also raising funds for Sands.
Monmouth Town Council's Events & Marketing Officer, Genevieve Barker, completed a fitness challenge to raise money on behalf of Sands by running, cycling and hiking 63k of Cadw and National Trust sites in Monmouthshire during Baby Loss Awareness Week.
✅ Day 1: Skirrid Mountain 5k
✅ Day 2: Kymin 8k
✅ Day 3: 24k run via Gosmont, Skenfrith & Monmouth Castles
✅ Day 4: 5k Ribbon Run & 16k bikeride to Raglan Castle
✅ Day 5: 5k Sugarloaf Mountain

£3 - could provide a Sands birth certificate for a baby whose birth cannot be registered through a register office.
£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.
£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.
£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.
£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
