I am running Marathon Eryri in October 2025 to raise money for The Sustainability Centre.

As CEO of the Centre, I get to see first hand the impact that our educational programmes have on people and planet alike. For some of our younger visitors to the Centre, these interventions can be quite literally life changing! Fundraising is a crucial aspect of keeping these programmes running and ensuring we can offer schemes like the Fair Share Fund and Young Natural Ambassadors Scheme to make sure we are making these experiences accessible and affordable for all young people.

I got in to trail running in March 2024 and haven't looked back since. Enjoying a weekly 5km parkrun was what I always said was my limit. I had no desire to ever endure longer distances. But now I have completed the Great South Run, the New Forest Half Marathon and plenty distances in between, that it would only be right to do a Marathon now, right? And me being me, I couldn't just pick a nice flat road Marathon as my first, I had to choose a Marathon with a 838m elevation gain!

But I see young people challenge themselves everyday at the Centre, trying new things and pushing themselves out of their comfort zones that I feel inspired to take on this feat to be able to raise money for them!
