Hello everyone, I am raising money for a cause quite close to my heart, hospice care. Over the last few years I, as many other, have lost close loved ones through terrible illnesses such as cancer. One of the big things that helped them in these times was the hospice care. I'm sure many of you know what hospice care is but for anyone that doesn't it is end of life care. In Febuary last year my God-father Edward lost his battle with cancer, the people at his local hospice made his end of life pain free, dignified and they really cared about him, and the people Edward cared most for too. Hospice's are vital charities that provides care for people at the end of their life - and they are more or less entirely run on donations; their care never showing the strain they feel. They are there when we need them the most, so I want to raise money to help my local hospice, St Luke's, to provide care to people in my local community.

St Luke's takes about £14 million to run it's services, both in the community caring for 300+ at any time and at their hospice. The government only funds about 23/24% of this. The rest needs to be fundraised. I'm hoping to fundraise to help towards these costs, and in memory of Edward and many others.

So what will I be doing? I will be taking part in Tough Mudder.
