Story
We plan to raise over £1000 for KIND by summiting the Moroccan Three Peaks.
Participants: Ben Nesbitt, James Berry and Conor McDonald.
On the 19th July we fly out to Marrakesh to begin our journey to the Atlas Mountains and summit the three highest mountains in North Africa in consecutive days. Beginning on Sunday morning we will set off from our base camp and trek for 7 hours, through the valleys and Berber villages before settling in the mountain refugee camp.
The second day in the mountains we summit the ‘twins’ Mt Ouanoukrim (4089m) and Mt Timzguida (4089m). Capturing two huge peaks.
Our final day in the mountains will include a 12 hour climb, to the peak of the mighty Mt Toubkal (4167m). The highest mountain in the Atlas mountain range and the highest point in North Africa, overlooking the Sahara desert.
We are helping raise funds for KIND, a local children’s charity here in Liverpool. They have have worked tirelessly to find new ways to help children and families across Liverpool and Merseyside cope with the effects of poverty and disadvantage. Any and all donations are massively appreciated!
