Story
Morris Lubricants is excited to launch a team for its next challenge, the Shrewsbury Dragon Boat Race, in aid of Severn Hospice.
Employees from across the company have joined forces and are ready to compete for the title of 'Dragon Boat Champion'.
The team are beginning the preparations for the event that will take place on the 20th & 21st July. This includes some much-needed fitness training, practising their paddling technique and the all-important decision of what fancy dress costumes the team should wear.
As well as being a brilliant day full of fun the main purpose is to raise vital funding for Severn Hospice which gives specialist care and support to families across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who are living with an incurable illness.
Severn Hospice is with families from the moment they're referred to its care for as long as they need it, and it does this every day, all day.
For every £1 donated, the hospice will spend 87p directly on care – and use the remaining 13p to make another £1.
Last year's donations meant the hospice could be there when it mattered for 3,000 local families.
