Story
On 08 October 2026, Mia, Kacie, Andrew, Fred, Nick and Rob will be taking part in the Big Sleep Out in support of Simon on the Streets.
The Big Sleep Out is an annual fundraising event that brings people together for one night outdoors to raise vital funds and awareness for those experiencing homelessness. While one night outside cannot reflect the realities faced by people sleeping rough, it is an opportunity to stand in solidarity with those affected and support the organisations working to make a difference.
Simon on the Streets supports people who are at risk of, or currently experiencing, homelessness across Leeds, Bradford and Kirklees. The people they support are often hidden, isolated and facing complex challenges. As an independent charity, they are able to provide long-term, person-centred support for as long as it is needed.
This can include help with accessing accommodation, connecting with physical and mental healthcare services, support with addiction and recovery, and working alongside trauma-informed care specialists.
Simon on the Streets understands that every individual's circumstances are different and that meaningful change takes time. Their approach is tailored to each person, providing both practical and emotional support to help them achieve their goals and move towards a more stable future.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help Simon on the Streets continue its vital work supporting people across our local communities.
Thank you for supporting our team and this year's Big Sleep Out!
