The YMCA Day of Giving is a chance to change the trajectory of a child’s life through arts programs at the Y!

at the Ballantyne arts center we support kids from Kindergarten to Seniors in high school!

We are proud everyday of the work we do at the arts center.

Bethany (professional teaching artist) had this to say:

I am grateful everyday because I am able to do what I love while impacting the lives of kids who walk in the door in dance, theatre and gymnastics. Teaching kids arts allows them to explore thoughts, ideas and emotions while providing confidence and a sense of community and belonging.

We are not only teaching but we are providing a safe space and helping to shape our future generations into who they will become as adults. I feel a sense of purpose in what I do every day. The BAC is unique and special, providing so many opportunities to participants all year long.

Maddie (Professional Teaching Artist) had this to say:

The BAC is a rarity in the theatre community where everyone who wants to participate, gets too. We are able to provide experiences that promote growth, inspire empathy, and encourage students to become their most confident selves. The students here truly become like a family to each other and are able to help each other become better actors and better people. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be a part of this work and to witness it first hand, I hope to continue to instill the love of theatre into youth for many years to come.
