Story
Our great friend and all-round-superstar Matt Button has for several years been battling a very nasty brain tumour. The courage, resilience, and hope that he, his wife Anne, and their three lovely kids show day in day out continues to inspire us all. As a family we have chosen to cycle from Dundee to Arbroath (20 miles) this summer to raise funds for Team Button and the Brain Tumour Charity. We'd love it if you were able to support us.
From Matt:
As many of you know I have a brain tumour. I feel myself to be one of the "lucky ones", having been diagnosed and still living with the condition since 2018. Tragically, many people who have gone before me have not been so lucky.
My brother died from a brain tumour as a child and friends and family I knew and loved have passed on too.
On the back of the recent news that my tumour has returned, I would love to continue to raise money for the brain tumour charity, which continues to push for more research into brain tumours, individually so rare. In the UK each year, there are about 350 new Oligodendrogliomas, but together primary brain (and CNS) tumours account for about 12-13000 new cases per year.
I would love you to support or join team BUTTON. So, if you'd like to give, or even better join in with whatever activity you feel able to do, that would be amazing!
Come on people, we can do this!
Take care,
Matt
