Story
My name is Jatinder Kaur, and I have recently started chemotherapy. As part of my treatment, I will be losing my hair. Rather than letting that moment be something difficult, I’ve decided to turn it into something meaningful.
This week, I will be shaving my head and using this moment to raise funds for Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, the incredible place supporting people like me through treatment and recovery.
The funds raised will go towards the new wing at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, helping provide the latest nuclear cancer treatments and improving facilities for patients now and in the future. These advancements in treatment give hope to so many people facing cancer.
As a member of the Lions Club of Heston, I believe strongly in community, service, and helping others. Through the support of the Lions Club and the generosity of friends, family, and the wider community, I hope this fundraiser will make a meaningful contribution to the amazing work being done at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
Shaving my head is just one moment in this journey, but together we can turn it into something powerful that helps others facing cancer.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to me. Every contribution will help support the development of this new treatment wing and the life-changing care provided at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
Thank you for your kindness, encouragement, and support.
With gratitude,
Jatinder Kaur
