The Mountain of the Gods Challenge

Climb Mount Olympus · 18 September 2025
In September, Emma and I will be taking on the Mountain of the Gods Challenge, by hiking and climbing over two days to the summit of Mount Olympus in Greece. We are hoping to raise money for the Wainwrights Animal Shelter in Cumbria, who have been caring for unwanted cats and dogs since 1972, providing care for and rehoming over 350 animals every year. It is a charity close to our hearts and one who’s great work we have seen first hand when in 2024, we adopted our border collie Tan from the shelter. With your generous help, they can continue the wonderful work they do.
Over two days we will summit the highest mountain in Greece and the seat of Zeus and the Olympian gods. Mount Olympus stands at a lofty 2,918m, making it more than twice the size of the UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
We have self funded this challenge so 100% of your donations goes straight to the charity and helps support them in their wonderful work.
