I’m incredibly grateful and excited to share that I have been shortlisted as a 2026 JustGiving Awards finalist! ❤️

From 15,000 nominations, just 16 finalists have been selected across four different categories — and I’m absolutely honoured to be one of them, representing the “Outstanding Commitment” category.

Since my prostate cancer diagnosis, I have tried to turn my experience into something positive by raising awareness, encouraging men to get checked early and raising vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through my running challenges.

Now I’m asking YOU, my wonderful supporters, to help me take the next step. 🙏

🗳️ PLEASE VOTE FOR ME! - Voting is open until 13 September 2026.

Every vote means so much to me, but more importantly, every vote helps shine an even bigger light on prostate cancer awareness and the importance of early diagnosis.

Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared a post, supported a run, encouraged me, voted for me or simply followed my journey. Without you, none of this would be possible.

From the bottom of my heart — THANK YOU! ❤️🌹

Since 2023, I had the privilege of participating in various events for Prostate Cancer UK. It’s a cause that’s very close to my heart, as prostate cancer sadly claims the lives of one in eight men. That’s one dad, partner, brother, son, grandad, uncle, or mate. I’m raising funds to support lifesaving research and provide essential support for men and their families affected by this disease.

And guess what? I’m back in 2027 with a full lineup of events! This year, I’m focusing on training for The London Marathon. It’s my sixth time in 33 years! Since I started running again after my treatment and began fundraising in 2022, I’ve been incredibly grateful to raise a total of £72,000. So, this time, I’m aiming to reach a grand total of £20,000, breaking the £90,000 mark!

Here’s a sneak peek at my 2026/2027 season:

I want to express my deepest gratitude, love, and appreciation to my incredible partner, Debra. She’s been my rock, my spiritual guide, and my source of strength throughout this journey. Without her by my side, I wouldn’t have been able to heal and grow. We’ve healed together as a team, and I love you, gorgeous one, Panayiotis XX 🌹❤️

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer on November 22, 2018, and the journey that followed has been filled with gratitude, discovery, joy, and the unbreakable bond of friendship.

I’ve been super open about my prostate cancer diagnosis from the get-go. I knew this was a chance for me to heal and share my experience, hoping to help other men avoid the same journey.

Raising funds is a huge part of my quest, but it’s also important to me to raise awareness and prevention in my family, friends, and community. I want everyone to know that their health is precious and shouldn’t be ignored. Just like we’re quick to book an engineer when we hear a strange noise under the car bonnet, we should be just as quick to seek medical attention for any persistent bodily symptoms.

I was in remission since November 2019 after undergoing six and a half weeks of radical radiotherapy at Charing Cross Hospital in London. I’m incredibly grateful to all the amazing staff who took care of me during that time. My final injection, part of a three-year treatment course, was on July 19, 2021, and that’s when I started running again! And since then, I haven’t stopped!

I ran my first running event since my diagnosis at the Ealing Half Marathon in September 2022. It was an incredible experience, and I’m so proud of myself for taking the plunge.

Kevin Webber’s story of dealing with prostate cancer really inspired me. He’s shown me that running has given him a new lease on life, and I believe it can do the same for us. The key to healing, according to him, is movement. While most of us can only dream of the achievements he’s accomplished, I think most of us can do some movement a few times a week, whether it’s walking, cycling, swimming, or running.

So, I decided to start a running group from the coffee house where I work. We’re called the Espresso Runners (Instagram @espresso_runners). It’s a great way to get some exercise, meet new people, and share stories. We’re more about the 5K to Coffee than the Couch to 5K, but we’re all in it for the fun!

In May 2023 I was diagnosed with recurrence of prostate cancer and I had High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) surgery on 14 August 2023. On 10 September 2023 I completed my 4th half marathon of the year, running 10k and walking the last 11k with Debra, then on 24 September 2023 I ran/walked my 5th half marathon with my wonderful niece, Tiggy, and on my birthday on 08 October 2023 I ran my 6th and last half marathon of 2023, under 2:30hrs.

Anyhow, that’s me in a nutshell doing my best to bring Awareness, Prevention, Running & Love to our neighbourhood in Ealing and beyond.

1 in 8 men will be affected. For black men, it’s 1 in 4.

So please:
Men — get checked.
Partners — encourage them.

I’m raising £20,000 for Prostate Cancer UK.

If you can, please donate.
 If not, please share.

I don’t know what the future holds.

Please stand with me.

Thank you for your love and support, it means everything to us.
