Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
On the weekend of 24 May 2025, a group of us will be taking on one of cycling’s most legendary and gruelling challenges: Mount Ventoux — a mountain that looms large in Tour de France history and close to the hearts of cyclists around the world.
Standing at 1,910 metres above sea level, Mount Ventoux is the highest peak in the region, rising from the Provence landscape on the edge of the Alps. But we’re not just riding to the summit once — we’re aiming to climb all three iconic ascents (Bedoin, Malaucene, and Sault) in a single day. Cycling over 85 miles with 4,400 metres of climbing.
This isn’t just a test of physical endurance, it’s a ride with real purpose.
We’re doing this to raise funds and awareness for The HEX Group's chosen charity: A Child of Mine. A charity that offers vital support to families who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a child. Their work provides a lifeline of comfort, counselling, and guidance during the darkest times.
There’s also deep history on this mountain. In 1967, British cyclist Tommy Simpson tragically lost his life near the summit of Ventoux during the Tour de France. His memorial remains near the top — a powerful reminder of the mountain’s unforgiving nature.
We’ll be setting off the weekend of 24 May 2025, and we’d be incredibly grateful for your support — every donation, no matter how small, will help A Child Of Mine continue their invaluable work.
Please donate if you can, and help us make every mile count.
Thank you.
