Fundraiser for Student Minds

Abby Sanderson is raising money for Student Minds

Half Marathon · 12 May 2026

Student Minds empowers students to build their own mental health toolkit. We also challenge the higher education sector, health sector, and government to make student mental health a priority. Together, we’re improving university communities so that no student is held back by their mental health.

Story

Moving towards better mental health for our students.

Jane Hay, Imperial's Deputy Chief Property Officer is celebrating 20 years of service at Imperial College London and her 60th birthday by running a half-marathon in support of Student Minds.

Jane will be taking on the challenge of running 13.1 miles to support the mental health of our student community - something that Jane is very passionate about.

All donations are greatly appreciated and if you would like to support Jane on the day please head down to Imperial Main Reception at South Kensington to cheer her on, find out more about wellbeing services at Imperial and grab yourself some freebies!

Event details: Tuesday 12 May, 09:30 - 13:00, Imperial Main Reception, South Kensington.

Student Minds is the UK’s student mental health charity. Our goal is to transform the state of student mental health so that all in higher education can thrive. We support students to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to look after their own mental health, support their peers and create change. We also work collaboratively with institutions, students’ unions and other organisations involved in higher education, supporting them to take a whole-university approach to mental health.
