Move it, Moving it for Lemurs

We're walking 111 km, a kilometre for every species of lemur, to raise funds to help lemur conservation work in south-eastern Madagascar.
Conservation is all about numbers - populations, budgets, number of species, so for our fundraising this year we are looking at some numbers.
Lemurs are the most diverse group of primates on Earth, with 111 species. Sadly, they are also the most threatened group of mammals on the planet: 98% of lemur species are threatened with extinction and one in three lemur species are classed as Critically Endangered.
We want to help these species survive, so we are using 111 as our flagship number and "Move it, Moving it for Lemurs" this year!
Our team are two zookeepers from Shepreth Wildlife Park and one volunteer keeper/research student from Oxford Brookes. We have each pledged to walk 111 km - that's a kilometre for every species of lemur. Any money raised will go directly to help conservation work in south-eastern Madagascar and the lemurs that live there.
Previous World Lemur Day funds have provided vital equipment for the ranger teams at Ampasy field station and funded a genomic study of endangered collared brown lemurs to help plan their conservation management.
With your help, what can we achieve this year? Every step we take and every pound you donate is a move in the right direction.
