Moving for Meg

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
Hi, welcome and thank you for visiting our funding page :)
We (Emily, Bradley Lucy and Callum) are running the 2025 London Landmarks Half Marathon in April. We have been running as a group and have set ourselves a challenge to up our game from the Saturday morning 5k park run to a half marathon. We are very excited to have been given the opportunity to run this race as a team, whilst also raising funds for a charity close to our very hearts.
We are running for Brainstrust in memory of the incredible Megan Lines, who tragically passed away at the age of 27 from a brain tumour.
Emily -
“Megan was more than just my friend— she was a colleague, role model and someone I was so proud to stand beside as we graduated from university as paramedics last year. Becoming a paramedic was her dream, and she worked tirelessly to achieve it. Megan dedicated herself to helping others, always putting their needs first, and it breaks my heart that such a bright future was taken from her far too soon”
The four of us have come together to honour Megan’s memory and to support Brainstrust, a cause that’s incredibly important to all of us. Brain tumours are devastating, claiming far too many lives, and yet they remain one of the most underfunded areas of cancer research.
Megan was only 27, with so much ahead of her—a promising career to fulfill, adventures to be had and life to live. She had a heart of gold and was a source of strength and comfort to so many. Having got the privilege to get to know her family, we’re running to ensure fewer families face the pain of losing someone like Megan.
The Landmarks Half Marathon will be a challenge, but Megan’s strength, kindness, and determination will inspire all of us every step of the way. As a runner herself we’re hoping to make her proud and turn such devastation into a positive opportunity to share her story and raise awareness for such a vital cause.
Prior to Meg’s illness, like most we were all unaware of the mass scale devastation brain tumours cause, it never really hits home until your the one writing these posts, if we achieve anything from this we hope to share that life is too short and you never know what is around the corner.
Please click the donate button to help us reach our fundraising goal. Together, we can honour Megan’s memory and work towards a future where brain tumours are treatable, survivable, and less devastating.
Megan’s life was dedicated to helping others, and now we can carry that legacy forward. Thank you for your kindness and support—let’s make a difference, for Megan and for everyone impacted by this disease.
Thankyou,
Emily, Bradley, Lucy and Callum x
