Story
In Memory of Andrew Fletcher
Andrew Fletcher – known to many of our children and families as Mr Fletcher – was a much-loved member of The Vine School community. A brilliant HLTA, a kind and generous friend, and someone who brought warmth and care to everything he did.
Mr Fletcher had a natural way with children. Whether it was a quiet word of encouragement, a calm presence during a tricky moment, or simply a friendly smile, he had a gift for making children feel safe and valued. His relationships with staff and families were just as strong – always kind, always genuine, and always there when you needed him.
He also had a passion for Lego – a hobby he shared with joy and pride. It reflected his approach to life: thoughtful, creative, and full of care and attention to detail. Whether he was supporting learning or simply chatting with children, Mr Fletcher always saw the potential in others.
To honour his memory, our PTA – Friends of Seagry School (FoSS) – would like to raise funds to purchase a memorial bench. We hope it will be a peaceful space where children and adults can sit, reflect, and remember someone who gave so much to our school family.
If you would like to contribute, your donation – big or small – will help us create a lasting tribute to a truly special man.
Thank you for helping us celebrate Mr Fletcher’s life and legacy.
