MRN's fundraiser for Bowel Cancer UK

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge · 3 October 2024
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Melissa for many years. Melissa was a positive and bright individual, and was an amazing inspiration to all of us.
Prior to her illness and after her diagnosis, Melissa was enthusiastic, warm and funny, and we cherished the time we spent in her company. Melissa was also witty and had a fantastic sense of humour - she was beautiful inside and out.
As a member of our team Melissa was a core team player, working in all aspects of the costs field and dealing with advocacy before she fell ill. She dealt with complex cases and did so with a smile on her face, making every effort to help both clients and colleagues in any way she could, without a hint of complaint. Our book of condolence following her death was filled with messages from colleagues and clients who had worked with Melissa and would feel her loss.
Melissa was so young when she was diagnosed with Bowel cancer. Suffering at any age is tragic but for one so young, it really put things into perspective and has driven the team to look to fundraise for her chosen charity. Melissa is missed dearly at MRN and her loss is something that will never be forgotten by us. The team wish to raise as much money as possible to support Bowel Cancer UK and welcomes any donations whatsoever, to try and make a difference. Melissa showed such dignity and determination when fighting this terrible disease and we would like to contribute to that fight for others and their family and friends who are still going through this.
