What will sponsorship provide?

Sponsoring an orphan is honouring the sunnah of the Messenger (PBUH) offering a promise of closeness to him in Jannah for those who care for orphans. It’s a great privilege to be able to support a child of the ummah, continuing this beautiful prophetic tradition.

When you sponsor an orphan, the child’s mother or caregiver will receive funds to help them cover the cost of the child’s:

• Healthcare

• School supplies

This simple monthly donation ensures an orphan can still have a childhood, with a safe home, a full belly, and friends at school. In short, it gives them the best start in life after experiencing the devastating loss of their father or both parents.

There are between 143 to 210 million children who are orphaned across the world. A child, once cared for by loving parents, is now at urgent risk of malnutrition, abuse, and exploitation.

Our number one priority in our sponsorship programme is protecting the rights, dignity and safety of orphans. We enforce vigorous checks, measures, and policies to ensure that all children sponsored are protected from harm.

We have a designated child protection coordinator in every country that we work in, who ensures that our Child Protection Policy is followed, that children are protected, and that any complaints are reported and escalated.

All our staff members are trained in child protection and any observers, volunteers, or fundraisers going to the field must sign our Child Protection Statement, and they are never left alone with a child.
