Our beloved Jamie spent just over the last 2 weeks of his life at the Princess Alice. It was where he wanted to be at the end, even though the end wasn’t supposed to be right then.

The staff treated us all with so much kindness, compassion and respect. They allowed us to continue to make memories in those precious last few weeks together; they allowed us to feel that we had control and agency over our decision making whilst so much was out of our control. They supported us at the most devastating time of our lives, respected our privacy and wishes, laughed and cried with us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The work you do is truly amazing!

It costs us £12.3 million each year to provide free, high quality specialist end of life care to thousands of people with life threatening illnesses. We rely on wonderful supporters to raise 80% of the Hospice's funding.
