In October 2025, I wilk be trekking the Everest High Passes in Nepal - and I am asking for your support to raise funds for a cause close to my heart.

Hi, I'm Paul Brindley, and this October I will be taking on one of the most physically demanding challenges of my life: a three-week high-altitude trek through the Everest region of Nepal, including the infamous Three Passes - Kongma La (5,535m), Cho La (5,420m), and Renjo La (5,340m).

I'll be trekking alongside my friend Dave Nock, a fellow member of West Bromwich Mountaineering Club, and together we will be pushing ourselves to the limit - all to support a truly special local charity:

🕊️ Mary Stevens Hospice

Based near me in the West Midlands, Mary Stevens Hospice provides incredible care and support for individuals and families going through the toughest times imaginable. Their work with people affected by life-limiting illnesses is compassionate, dignified, and absolutely vital - but they rely on charitable donations to keep doing what they do.

💙 Why This Matters to Me

Like many people, I've seen first-hand the importance of good palliative care. As a business owner, a father, and a proud grandfather, I'm deeply aware that every day matters - and the work Mary Stevens Hospice does gives people those days with dignity and peace.

Trekking the Everest High Passes will be a huge personal challenge - 3 weeks at high altitude, climbing multiple 5,000m+ passes, with basic accommodation and tough terrain - but it's nothing compared to what some families are going through every day.

This trek is my way of giving back.

💸 My Goal: £2,500

Every penny you donate will go directly to Mary Stevens Hospice. I'm covering the cost of the trip myself - so your donation won't be funding flights, gear, or trekking expenses. It's all about raising money for the people who need it most.

Whether you can spare £5, £20 or more, every donation makes a real difference.

🌍 Follow the Journey

I'll be posting updates along the way - in training and during the trek - so you can see what your support is helping to achieve. Expect muddy boots, breathtaking views, aching legs… and one grateful bloke doing his best at 5,500 metres!

🙏 Thank You

If you've ever lost someone, or been touched by the care of a hospice, you’ll know how important this is. Please donate what you can - and feel free to share this page with friends, family, or colleagues who might want to support a good cause.

Let's make every step count.

Thank you,

Paul Brindley
