Mtende Community Project is a UK based charity that supports education within schools and provides extra curricular support teaching people to farm and become self sustainable.

Their project began in July 2018 by Fiona Gunning and Lilian Mackenzie in Scotland and Ben Kalua in Ekwendeni, Malawi.

In October we hosted a Spooktacular Halloween event that raised £333 plus an additional £1,500 provided by Action for Good. This money was allocated to ongoing educational projects.

We are now looking to raise more funds to help them build solar panels as part of their self-sustainable mission (and have some Festive fun along the way). As we are all aware, energy is a worrying factor for many around the world but in Malawi they don't even have it yet!

This event will be promoted as 'Lets switch on the lights for Mtende this Christmas'.
