In March, just before Ramadan, we bid farewell to our beloved father, Hag Elsawy Hamed Elsawy. His absence during this blessed month was deeply felt, but the outpouring of love and prayers from friends and family helped fill the void.

Our father was a devout man, observing fasts throughout the year, especially on Mondays and Thursdays. His dedication was inspiring, and he cherished the spiritual rewards of Ramadan.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he brought warmth and joy to our lives, particularly through his playful interactions with his grandchildren.

To ensure his legacy lives on, we aim to build a masjid in Gambia in his honor—a perpetual charity (sadaqah Jariya). This noble endeavor will provide a sacred space for worship, accommodating 250 worshippers, alongside a vital water well for ablution and clean drinking water.
