Story
Hi there! thanks for visiting my JustGiving page, I really appreciate it!
So, I'm skydiving 12,000ft for CPSL Mind on June 15th. Why? Because this will be my first time skydiving, and it's terrifying! I'm also so scared of heights that even looking down at my own feet makes my stomach flip.
Ok, that's a bit dramatic... but why do something so scary? Mental health is something we all experience, and the past few years have been tough: the pandemic; rising costs of living; and catastrophes even beyond our shores have impacted our lives so drastically - we all deserve the support we need to make it through.
I can't do a lot on my own, but standing with incredible charities like CPSL Mind means I have amazing opportunities to support people's mental health however I can - no matter how hard or scary it is, the effort is worth it. Beating the skydive would also hopefully help with my fear of heights!
CPSL Mind is a charity who helps thousands of local people with their mental health each year, and the impact they have is massive. Last year, they facilitated:
- 16,500 hours of one-to-one support for more than 3,100 people
- 3,400 hours of group activities for 1,300 people
- 530 hours of training and workshops attended by 2,800 participants
... and much, much more.
Please donate however much you can to the cause - even if it's the £2 minimum, you'll be indirectly supporting thousands of people with their mental health. Know that no amount is ever too small!
Thank you so much!
