Story
Following a month long visit to Muheza Hospital, Tanzania, in July 2025, we felt compelled to give back financially. During our visit, we witnessed the lack of supplies available to treat patients and the difficulty to access medicines as they’re not government funded. The difference was stark in many areas of the hospital: poor anaesthetic support in theatres, limited numbers of monitoring equipment and the hospital pharmacy often running out of essential medicines.
We have therefore decided to run the Liverpool Half Marathon dressed as giraffes to raise money to buy essential medicines and supplies for the local community. We chose to dress as giraffes as this is the national animal for Tanzania!
We would greatly appreciate any donations towards this and all money donated will be sent to the Muheza hospital.
Here are some photos from our time there.
