Munish's 1000 Kilometer walk for The Memorial Gates

1000 Kilometres Memorial Walk · 1 January 2025
In 2025, I will walk 1,000 kilometres with a 15kg bergen on my back—equivalent to 7 Army RFTs and 1.5 million steps. But this is more than a physical challenge; it’s a journey of remembrance.
Each step I take is dedicated to the brave Commonwealth soldiers who laid down their lives in the First and Second World Wars. Their sacrifices built the freedoms we cherish today, yet their stories often remain untold. This journey is my way of shining a light on their legacy and raising awareness about the Memorial Gates, a monument that honours their incredible contributions.
The Memorial Gates stand as a powerful reminder of the diversity and unity that shaped our history. Yet, many people are unaware of their significance. My mission is to ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten—and to inspire others to join me in preserving their memory.
Along the way, I also aim to raise funds for the Memorial Gates Charity, helping to keep the flame of remembrance alive for generations to come.
"The freedom we walk in today was paid for by their courage yesterday. Let’s honour their steps with ours."
I invite you to walk with me—through your support, your engagement, and your contributions. Follow my journey, share these stories, and together, let’s make sure their sacrifices echo loudly in the world they helped shape.
Let’s walk, remember, and honour—together.
