Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thank you for visiting Musings for a Cure, a tribute to Tony Shadforth.

This page is a companion to Tony's Poem website called Musings In Particular, where we share his creative legacy. Tony was 94 when he passed at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bromsgrove, after a 63-year marriage that was the foundation of our family.

While we celebrate his life, we are also raising funds for his devoted wife, Jutta, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about ten years ago. Her mobility is now very poor, and we have seen firsthand how much this condition impacts every part of a person's life.

We want to honour Dad’s memory by helping others like Mum. Your donations to Parkinson’s UK fund the research needed to find a cure and the support services that help families navigate the complex reality of this disease.

If Dad’s poems have touched you, please consider a donation. It is a wonderful way to honour Tony’s life and support Jutta’s journey.
