Going Over the Edge for a Reason: Please Support Heartlands Hospital
Imagine standing at the top of a building, heart racing, about to step backwards into thin air. That’s exactly what I am choosing to do—not just for the thrill, but for a cause that has become deeply personal to me.
Recently, one of my friends was cared for at Heartlands Hospital. In a moment of uncertainty and fear, the teams in the Intensive Care Unit and the Children’s Ward showed extraordinary compassion, skill, and dedication. They didn’t just treat a patient—they supported a family, brought comfort in difficult moments, and made an experience we’ll never forget a little easier to bear.
Now, I want to give something back.
I am taking part in an abseil to raise money for Heartlands Hospital Charity, supporting both the ITU and the Children’s Ward—two departments that care for people at their most vulnerable. The funds raised will be split between them to help improve patient care and provide vital equipment that can truly make a difference.
Hospitals are under immense pressure, and while the staff give everything they have, they need support to continue delivering the level of care that meant so much to us.
So when I take that step off the edge, I am doing it with purpose. . I am doing it for every patient, every family, and every moment that matters.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, you’ll be helping me say thank you in the most meaningful way—and helping ensure others receive the same incredible care when they need it most.
Thank you for your support ❤️
