Story
Steve Scalia, Rob Keel and Jonathan (JB) Bracey are lacing up for the Chicago Marathon in support of MVA Society — a cause that is close to their hearts in more ways than one.
JB set up the MVA Society after his son, George was diagnosed with this ultra rare condition, that currently has no treatment options, other than keeping your fingers crossed and saying your prayers. The MVA Society exists to change that outlook, and to drive research to find a treatment to improve and extend patient lives affected by MVA syndrome.
That mission — improving patient lives by enabling access to medicines — is one that all 3 of them live twice over; both with the charity and in their day-to-day work at Tanner Pharma Group, helping patients around the world get medicines they wouldn’t otherwise reach. Rare disease research and global medicine access are two sides of the same goal — making sure patients don’t fall through the gaps.
26.2 miles won’t fix everything. But your donation might just help fund the next breakthrough to help kids like George live a longer and better life. One step at a time, but we will get there!
