Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am at it again, 173 miles in 5.5 days for the life saving Peer to Peer mental health charity My Black Dog. We provide support through webchats, for those who feel they have no one to turn to.
My Black Dog saved me a few years ago and since then I have become a better version of myself. The team there are incredible, made up of volunteers who have been through and are still going through mental health concerns themselves.
Who better to talk to, than someone who truly understands.
So my trek takes me from Beachyhead in Eastbourne, through Brighton, along the South Downs Way, into Winchester, Bradford-Upon-Avon, Bath and ending in Bristol at Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Beachyhead and Clifton Bridge have been chosen for my trek because they are the most prevalent locations in the UK for people who have chosen to take their own lives. Please help raise awareness for My Black Dog and help them, help others to not make this choice.
September the 10th is National Suicide Prevention day, and the reason for the date of my trek.
Many thanks, Neil
