Story
On 13 June, my wife Charlotte, our two friends and I will be taking on a 24-hour charity livestream to raise money for myaware, the UK charity supporting people affected by myasthenia.
Myasthenia is a rare, long-term neuromuscular condition that can cause muscle weakness and fatigue. It can affect things many of us take for granted — speaking, chewing, swallowing, walking, breathing, keeping your eyes open, or simply getting through the day. Symptoms can fluctuate, which means people with myasthenia often live with uncertainty, exhaustion, and the challenge of explaining a condition that many people have never heard of.
That’s where myaware comes in!
myaware provides information, support, community, advocacy and a sense of connection for people living with myasthenia, as well as their families and carers. The charity helps people feel less alone, better informed, and more able to navigate life with the condition.
So, for 24 hours, we’ll be staying awake, streaming, chatting, playing games, making fools of ourselves, and doing our best to keep the energy going — all to raise funds and awareness for a cause that really matters.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help myaware continue supporting people affected by myasthenia across the UK.
Thank you so much for supporting us. It genuinely means a lot!
Whether it’s £5, £10, £24 for 24 hours, or whatever you can manage, we’ll be hugely grateful. And if you can’t donate, sharing the page would also be a massive help.
