Story
Just Be A Child (JBAC) is a small but remarkable community project, based in Hitchin, run by one person its founder and supported by over 250 dedicated volunteers.
For more than eight years, it has created over seven community libraries and supplied books and learning materials to more than thirty non-state schools. With the generous support of Barton-Le-Clay Rotary Club and several other clubs, JBAC has continued to open doors to reading, learning, and opportunity for children who need it most.
As a very senior member of the Barton club, I have already taken part in a normal wing walk to raise funds for JBAC. This time, as I approach the age of 85, I want to go one step further and take on a wing walk with a loop-the-loop and barrel roll.
Over the years, I have enjoyed memorable adventures including the Tall Ships Race, freefall parachuting, and the UK\'s longest zip wire, and I believe this challenge is a meaningful way to celebrate resilience, courage, and lifelong commitment to helping others.
Your support will help JBAC continue its important work, expanding access to books and learning resources for children in communities that need them. Please sponsor this challenge and help us keep inspiring young readers, one library and one book at a time.
I would be grateful if Gift Aided donations could be made to the charity account of Barton-Le-Clay Rotary Club, a/c 19343068 Sort Code 30-10-49
