Story
Iβm running the London Marathon to raise money for Nerve Tumours UK, a charity that has become incredibly important to our family.
Just over a year ago, we found out that our little boy, Rory, has Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) β a genetic condition that can cause tumours to grow along nerves. Rory has a Plexiform Neurofibroma behind his eye, and since the diagnosis, weβve navigated a rollercoaster of emotions, appointments, and consultations β with more to come.
Through it all, Rory remains the brilliant, happy, funny little boy we know and love, taking each day as it comes. Weβre so grateful for the care heβs receiving, and now I want to do something to give back.
Nerve Tumours UK provides vital support for people living with Neurofibromatoses β genetic conditions that are often inherited, but can also appear βout of the blue,β as with Rory. Their mission is to improve lives, provide specialist advice, and raise awareness β all of which mean so much to our family.
Please consider supporting me as I take on this incredible challenge. Every donation, no matter the size, helps Nerve Tumours UK continue their amazing work β and supports families like ours on this journey.
Thank you so much for your support.
