An Emergency Appeal to Help The Myriad Centre
October 31st Update
🎉🌟You did it!!🎉🌟
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and supported us through this difficult time. We are truly humbled by your generosity and the speed at which you responded to our appeal.
Less than 4 weeks after the terrible acts of vandalism, you rallied enabling us to fully recover in record time. All our clients are now back at Myriad and enjoying their respite care, having fun and living life to their fullest.
Without you this could not have happened.
Thank you

October 19th Update
⭐We are nearly there!⭐
We are now welcoming all our clients back into the centre, with two of our minibuses being up and running and able to transport up to 12 clients a day.
Our third minibus is still awaiting significant repairs, and we plan to have it back on the road in 1-2 weeks. We are incredibly grateful to all our wonderful families, staff and supporters who are continuing to drive clients to the centre in private vehicles, until this work has taken place.
Please help us reach our target of £20,000 to ensure that the costs of recovery from this awful act of vandalism are covered and our PMLD community can fully access and enjoy the support and care they deserve.
Every donation is a step forward in our recovery and a demonstration of your unwavering commitment and dedication to those within the PMLD community.
Thank you
"Possiblity, not Disability."

October 2023 Update
We are delighted to announce that just 10 days after we launched our Emergency Appeal following a terrible act of vandalism we have partially reopened!!
The recent crisis posed unprecedented challenges for Myriad. We were unable to get our clients with PMLD to our centre which provides their much-needed respite care.
Happily, through the unwavering support of our staff, trustees , families, and the wider community, we are pleased to say we have weathered the storm and are now 75% open.
We have been blown away by the number of donations, gifts in kind and time given voluntarily to ensure many of our clients can return to the centre. This incredible support has enabled us to recover so much faster than we would have been able to otherwise.
Initially, we estimated it would take us several weeks to recover and set an emergency fund target of £40,000, however, with the rapid progress we have made we are thrilled we are able to reduce our target to £20,000 and aim to open fully within the next 1-2 weeks.
Two of our minibuses are now operational and reliably transporting clients to and from the centre. Thanks to the commitment and perseverance of the Myriad Team, this had happened much faster than we had anticipated. Sadly, the third bus in our fleet is not likely to be roadworthy for up to two weeks, meaning we are unable to welcome all our clients back to the centre for a little longer.
"We are immensely grateful to our dedicated staff and supporters who stood by us during these challenging times," said Richard Whatley, CEO. "Our mission has always been to make a positive impact, and with the reopening of Myriad, we are redoubling our efforts to continue to do so. We will always be committed to supporting those with PMLD and their families, and living our value of Possiblity, not Disability."

September 2023
The Myriad Centre provides essential respite care for young adults living with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
We finally moved into our new home last Friday. We arrived this morning, excited to welcome our clients and start our first day. But over the weekend, we were targeted in an awful act of vandalism.
Two windows were smashed and, worse still, two of our three specialist transport vehicles had their windscreens and windows smashed and tyres slashed, rendering them unusable for at least the next few days.
We provide desperately needed, specialist respite care. Without our service, families of our clients will be in turmoil, unable to access much-needed care and support.
Without our buses, we cannot transport clients to the centre and will have to remain closed.
This is an emergency appeal to raise vital funds to get us through this difficult time. The potential loss of income is huge, but the knock-on effect for the families we support is even bigger.
Please donate what you can. Every penny will help us to ensure that we can continue to provide essential respite care for some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
If you are unable to donate, please share this appeal so others may donate. Your support will make a real difference.
Thank you.
