Mysmallhelp aims to relieve poverty in Nepal by providing education and support to orphaned, poor and ex-street children that otherwise would not be able to go to school. Your small help can make a big difference!

Story

MySmallHelp is a charity that our family have supported for over a decade, both through at-home fundraising and hands-on work at the Marybert School & Children’s Home in Kathmandu, Nepal. MySmallHelp helps to provide clean water, clothing, food, a roof, an education and so much more for the ten children living there.

Our great friends Raju, Sabina and the team have done an incredible job keeping Marybert afloat, and have done so for many years. It’s our honour to be able to help them each Christmas in what small way we can. Below are some examples that Raju has sent us of how your donation can support them:

"Hi Aaron and Charlotte,

I have consulted with Sabina about children need. She said, they need bed sheet, cover, Gas stove, rice cooker and maybe some warm clothes and toiletries. Maybe around GBP 600 which will also include celebration with cake, food (rice, chicken, curry), sweets and more. Thank you both as always.

Lots of love. Raju."

Our big projects with Marybert have previously been replacing straw mattresses with more standard bedding, providing a washing machine to replace the need for hand-washing their clothes, as well as modernising their toilet block. Every year we also do our best to provide educational supplies for the year ahead, toys and other fun items to help them celebrate at Christmas time.

Small charities like MySmallHelp really feel the effects of economic downturns as donations dwindle and leave those relying on the kindness of strangers in an even more vulnerable position. We are hugely thankful to anyone who is able to donate, regardless of the amount. We assure you that not only are the donations gratefully received, but are providing dignity and safety to some of the most underprivileged people in our global community.

Please support us in our fundraising efforts, whether that is through donations or simply sharing our page. We appreciate all your help to give these wonderful children a gift.

Merry Christmas!

Aaron, Matt, Charlotte & George
