Story
MysonPages are walking 45 miles across 2 days in support of Springhill Hospice - following The Rochdale Way.
Springhill Hospice provides care & support to people with a life limiting illness & their loved ones. Springhill passionately believe that everyone should have access to the best care at the end of their lives. To help achieve this, their expert team work night and day in people’s homes and at the Hospice to offer specialist care, to everyone who needs it. Springhill also support people emotionally, provide practical information & help them maintain their independence and dignity.
In 2026 they need our help more than ever with the impact of the new minimum wage and the changes to national insurance their budgets are under more pressure than ever before.
So this year, MysonPages, will again be undertaking a challenge to raise some money to help keep the doors open - around £7k a day.
Recently we have had 2 runners running to London to take part in the marathon and completing 240 miles in total. In June, 3 cyclists pedalled for 900 miles to the arctic circle. We're not going to beat them, we're not even going to join them - we're going to do something a little different instead...
The ROCHDALE WAY is a 45 mile trail around the borough of Rochdale, a circular walk, and over 2 days a core team of walkers will complete the circle.
Starting at Owd Betts and going anti-clockwise, we're hoping anyone can join us for a mile, for an hour, for half a day, or just for a beer and a celebration at our half way point on Friday night at the Moorcock, Littleborough.
We'll also be asking folks to tell us about their own Rochdale Way, what makes this town unique and how they are part of it, as we complete the journey.
The journey starts here....
