Story
The cause:
Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation.
We provide emergency assistance to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics and natural or man-made disasters, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
We work in over 70 countries and go to the places where others cannot or choose not to go.

My Story:
I decided to get my running shoes back on in October last year and was just planning to stick to maintenance runs. As I’ve remained injury free (so, possibly feeling slightly over confident…) I’ve decided to run the Royal Parks half marathon on 12/10/25
I ran this about 8 years ago and was doing pretty well until mile 11 when my ankle just ‘went’ and I hobbled over the finish line.
My personal aim is an improvement on my time but most importantly of all, I’m hoping to raise money for MSF - Doctors Without Borders.
In this changed world we live in, I want to support medics and staff who go to countries and zones to carry out life saving humanitarian work and emergency care.
I really appreciate that times are financially tough and uncertain for many so, appreciate any donation no matter how small.
Every penny will be greatly appreciated and really makes a difference.
Thanks so much.
I’m not a huge social media person but will try to give regular updates on my progress and pitfalls.
Now I need to sit and think about why on earth I thought running 13.1 miles again, was a good idea ….
