Dear Friends and Family,

As you may know, I’m so excited to be participating in this year’s NYC Marathon on November 2, 2025. But I’m not just running for myself. I’m running to raise funds for Literacy Partners, an incredible organization that provides two-generation literacy education for parents and caregivers.

As a first-generation student in America, Literacy Partners is especially close to my heart because I understand firsthand the challenges and barriers that many immigrant families face when it comes to education and access to resources. Growing up in a household where English wasn't the primary language, I saw how crucial it was for my parents to navigate the educational system in a new country. They worked hard to support my education, but there were times when language and cultural differences made it difficult for them to fully engage with my schooling or understand how to best support my academic journey.

I deeply appreciate how Literacy Partners acknowledges that education is not just about the child—it’s about the whole family. Their programs bridge the gap between generations, fostering a collaborative learning environment that benefits everyone.
